2008 Liberty Rodeo - Philadelphia, PA

The 2008 Liberty Stampede was the inaugural event of the Liberty Gay Rodeo Association on May 9 and 10 at the The Devon Horse Show grounds in Devon, PA near Philadelphia. Amazingly, I covered all three of my events on the first day: calf roping on foot, steer riding, and chutedogging. While missing my second calf on the first day, I still covered in the steer riding and threw my second steer in an personal best of 5 seconds! For the entire rodeo, I ended up in fourth place for calf roping, third place for steer riding, and a first place for chutedogging -- which meant I walked away with my first rodeo buckle! This also meant that I ended up in first place for all roughstock events and took home a total of $440 in prize money. Yeehaw! Check out the video by clicking here!
