Camping and Whitewater Rafting:
Tall Oaks Campground and Youghiogheny River at Ohiopyle State Park

Over Labor Day Weekend 2004, I joined five friends in the annual Columbus, Ohio, Stompers camping, country dancing, and whitewater rafting jamboree! We pitched camp at the Tall Oaks Campgrounds (we did NOT win the "Best Campsite" Award.) On Saturday, we spelunked through nearby Laurel Caverns and puttered through "Kavernputt," an eighteen-hole miniature golf course in a simulated cave (go figure...) On Sunday, we joined the White Water Adventures folks for a rafting trip down the Youghiogheny [yaw-ki-gay-nee] River in the Ohiopyle State Park. What a rush!
