In June, 2007, I spent an awesome week
at a working cattle ranch, the Lazy E-L Ranch near Roscoe, Montants. A group of eleven guests rode horses every day, helped move 2,000 head of cattle, rafted the class IV Stillwater River, toured the Beartooth Mountains, and visited nearby Red Lodge, MT. This adventure was produced by OutWest
Adventures. The business owner Aaron Kampfe’s great-grandfather, Malcolm S. Mackay homestead the property in 1901 and his family runs the ranch to this day.
